Dear colleagues,

The abstract submission deadline for the workshop “Bridging Horizons: Harnessing ESO’s Current Facilities for the Dawn of Exoplanet Population Studies” (2–6 November 2026) has been extended to 7 June 2026.

As a reminder, this ESO workshop will take place across four locations: ESO Garching (Germany), ESO Vitacura (Santiago de Chile), Nice Observatory (France), and Lund University (Sweden).

It aims to bring together the community to prepare for the ESO’s Expanding Horizons Call for Ideas (2026) and explore how ESO’s current facilities, in synergy with upcoming space missions, can advance exoplanet population studies in the coming decade.

Further details on the programme, submission process  and invited speakers are available on the workshop webpage:

2. Two weeks until abstract submission closure for the PLATO ESP 2026 Conference: Confronting planets across time and space at the University of Warwick, UK, from 16-18 September 2026

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Colleagues,

Friendly reminder that the abstract submission for the PLATO ESP 2026 Conference: Confronting planets across time and space is open until 23:59 BST on 14 June 2026 and can be found here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/physics/research/astro/research/meetings/platoesp2026/abstract/

We are accepting abstracts for talks and posters across the following themes:

    The PLATO mission

    How planets evolve across time

    How planets form across space

Studying architectures over time and space

    Observed planetary demographics

Planet discovery and characterisation with multi-technique observations

Early career researchers (ECRs) and those from historically marginalised backgrounds are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts. We are looking forward to receiving your abstracts.

Programme announcement and conference registration will be made public shortly after abstract submission closure. More information on the conference is here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/physics/research/astro/research/meetings/platoesp2026/
