Atelier SF2A S18: PLATO : un nouveau regard sur les systèmes planétaires, le 2 juillet 2025, Toulouse (France)
Lors des journées sf2a 2025, un atelier est organisé autour de la mission PLATO de l'ESA (« PLATO : un nouveau regard sur les systèmes planétaires ») dont le lancement est prévu en décembre 2026. Cet atelier propose de présenter à la communauté l'avancement de la mission mais surtout de réunir et préparer la communauté française à l'exploitation des données pour maximiser le retour scientifique.
Vos propositions de contribution (orale ou poster) sont à renseigner avant le 25 avril sur le site web des journées SF2A (https://journees.sf2a.eu/). Les présentations seront nécessairement courtes et les présentations en présentiel seront privilégiées.

2. Ecole Evry Schatzmann 2025 : La physique stellaire à l'ère de PLATO

Nous avons le plaisir d'annoncer l'ouverture des inscriptions à l'édition 2025 de l'école Evry Schatzman consacrée à la physique stellaire à l'ère de PLATO qui se déroulera du 21 au 26 septembre 2025 au centre Paul Langevin à Aussois, en Savoie.
L'EES2025 est une école thématique du CNRS ouverte à toutes celles et ceux souhaitant développer des projets en lien avec l'exploitation scientifique de PLATO ou se former à la physique stellaire accessible avec PLATO.
Si cette école est ouverte aux jeunes chercheurs (doctorant·es et post-doctorant·es), nous encourageons la participation de chercheur·ses confirmé·es, l'école offrant un cadre idéal pour favoriser les échanges de perspectives et de pratiques et préparer l'avenir de la photométrie spatiale. Nous rappelons par ailleurs aux agents CNRS que leur mission sera intégralement prise en charge par la formation permanente du CNRS.

Evry Schatzman School 2025: Stellar Physics in the PLATO era
We are pleased to announce that the registration for the 2025 edition of the Evry Schatzman School devoted to the Stellar Physics in the PLATO Era is now open. It will take place from September 21 to 26, 2025 at the Paul-Langevin Centre in Aussois (Savoie, France).
The EES2025 is a CNRS thematic school open to anyone aiming to develop projects related to the scientific exploitation of PLATO or to discover the stellar physics that will be accessible with PLATO.
While this school is open early-career researchers (PhD students, postdocs), we encourage the participation of established researchers, as it provides an ideal setting for exchanging perspectives and practices and for shaping the future of space photometry.

3. Conference "51 Peg b 30th Birthday: Cool Giant Planets & Their Systems"

Scientific rationale :
This conference will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the discovery of planet 51 Peg b, at OHP where it all started, from 6 to 10 October 2025. This year edition will focus on long-period giant planets and their systems in the current observational context: long-term radial velocity surveys, direct imaging and spectroscopy of young systems, high-accuracy orbital monitoring with interferometry, characterisation of planetary companions at high spectral resolution, and the upcoming release of ESA/Gaia DR4 data that holds great promise for the exoplanet field.
Knowing the entire architecture of a system is crucial to understanding the processes of planet formation and evolution. The existence of inner planets, possibly of lower mass, can be probed by radial velocities, but also by transits. The existence of longer-period objects will be increasingly sought through imaging and long-term RV tracking.
The symposium will cover not only the existence of these planets, their systems and their architectural parameters, but also their atmospheric composition, their internal compositions, and the possibility of moons or exocomets in these systems. The instrumental roadmap for exoplanets over the next few years will enable us to make a great deal of progress in these areas and will be also discussed.
